IDAHO FALLS ~ Idaho Falls - Union Pacific crews will be conducting railroad crossing work at the intersection of N. Holmes Avenue and N. Boulevard starting at 7 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 9. The work is expected to be completed by Sunday, Jan. 11.

The project will take place daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will be carried out in phases. During the initial phase, the center median will be closed for vacuum truck cleaning near the crossing. In a later phase, the outside lanes will also be closed to remove old railroad crossing signal equipment.

Motorists should anticipate lane closures and potential delays in the area during this time. It is advised to follow posted directional signs, reduce speed and exercise caution when driving near construction crews.
