Israel Approves First On-Site Airport Hotel at Ben Gurion Airport
TelAve News/10898764
ATLANTA - TelAve -- Israel has approved the building permit for its first on-site airport hotel at Ben Gurion Airport, adjacent to Terminal 3, following approval by the National Planning and Licensing Authority.
The project is being developed by the Israel Airports Authority as part of the airport's broader expansion plan and will be built by the Brown Hotels group, part of the Israel Canada Group. The seven-story hotel is designed by Man–Shinar Architects and will be integrated above existing operational terminal infrastructure.
The development will include approximately 260 rooms, a rooftop with runway views, spa and wellness facilities, a swimming pool, a conference center, restaurants, co-working spaces, commercial areas, and in-hotel pre-flight check-in services.
Lorin Maugery, Consul-Director, U.S. Southern Region, Israel Ministry of Tourism, said:
"Travelers across the South, from Dallas to Miami, will soon have additional options when it comes to traveling in Israel. Whether taking a late flight or choosing to stay a little longer in the country, they will have added convenience knowing they can soon stay directly at the airport in a world-class hotel."

Reuven Alkes, CEO and partner at Brown Hotels (Israel Canada Group), said:
"We welcome the approval of the permit for this project. This is a development on a global scale, designed by leading Israeli architects. The new hotel will set a completely new standard of comfort, quality, and luxury at Israel's main gateway for travelers and visitors."
Liran Ben Ami, partner at Man–Shinar Architects and project lead, said:
"We have been leading this complex project for three years in close coordination with Brown Hotels, the Israel Canada Group, and the Israel Airports Authority. The goal is to create a unique hospitality experience at the country's main entry point adjacent to Terminal 3. The hotel will include 260 rooms, a conference center, in-hotel check-in facilities, restaurants, co-working spaces, and a rooftop pool overlooking aircraft activity. The design brings natural light deep into a central atrium and orients the building toward the runways as a core part of the guest experience."
