Jacksonville: CITY OF JACKSONVILLE TO HOST ANNUAL VETERANS DAY PARADE

~ Jacksonville, FL - The City of Jacksonville is gearing up to honor and pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served our country at the 2025 Veterans Day Parade. This year's parade, presented by The Law Offices of Ron Sholes, P.A., will take place on Tuesday, November 11 at 11:01 a.m. in Downtown Jacksonville.

Mayor Donna Deegan expressed her excitement for the upcoming event, stating, "It is truly an honor to participate in this meaningful celebration of the brave men and women from our community who have served our country. As a proud military town, Jacksonville has a rich Veterans Day tradition, and I encourage all our citizens to be a part of it."

The parade will feature several notable figures including Mayor Donna Deegan, Honorary Grand Marshal Colonel Len Loving of the US Marine Corps and his wife Suzie Loving, as well as Grand Marshal Padraic "Pat" Mulvhill. Along with these special guests, the parade will also include senior military officials, active-duty and retired military units, veteran groups, local school groups, decorative floats and more.

The parade route will begin on Water Street in front of the Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts before making a left turn onto Hogan Street. From there, it will continue east on Bay Street until reaching Lot X. The route is approximately 1.11 miles long and is expected to last around 2 hours.

Spectators are encouraged to gather safely downtown and show their support by wearing red, white and blue and waving flags. The parade can be viewed from various locations along Water Street, Hogan Street and Bay Street.

Organizers want to remind attendees that the parade is a rain-or-shine event but safety is their top priority. In case of severe weather conditions posing a risk, public notifications will be issued regarding any necessary changes.

To ensure smooth traffic flow during the event, there will be multiple street closures in effect along the parade route. These closures will include both hard road closures and soft rolling closures, with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office managing traffic control at each intersection.

The full road closures will begin at 7:30 a.m. at Stonewall Street and Park Street, Park Street and Water Street, Lee and W Bay Streets, Water Street (Jefferson Street to Lee Street), Riverside Avenue to Water Street, Jefferson Street and Water Street, Acosta Bridge off-ramp to Water Street, Main Street (southbound) and Bay Street, Main Street (northbound) and Riverplace Boulevard, Newnan Street and E Bay Street, Liberty Street and Forsyth Street (Forsyth St on-ramp eastbound), Washington Street and Monroe Street, Marsh Stree
