Keara Brill Creates Nuclear Fission Reaction Animation for Chemistry Teacher Mr. Clay Bowling

TelAve News/10863067
LEXINGTON, Ky. - TelAve -- [LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY] – Keara Brill, an advanced student in the Game Design and Development program at Eastside Technical Center, taught by Dr. Kellinghaus with a passion for visual learning, has developed an engaging Adobe Animate project depicting a nuclear fission reaction. Game Design students in the class were challenged to find a real-world project and client that can benefit from their skills learned in Game Design to develop and publish something.

The animation vividly illustrates the complex process of nuclear fission, in which the nucleus of an atom splits into two or more smaller nuclei, releasing a significant amount of energy. Brill's work transforms this scientific concept into an easily understandable and visually captivating experience.

"This project allowed me to combine my interest in animation with a real-world application," Brill explained. "My game design teacher challenged our class to create a project that could help visualize a difficult concept, and I chose nuclear fission because of my love for sciencey things and teaching others how it could look through a few pixels on a screen."

The animation showcases Brill's ability to apply game design principles to educational content, demonstrating the potential for cross-disciplinary projects. Using animation, Brill successfully bridges the gap between science and visual media.
