According to the policy, passengers are allowed to take along their pets when traveling. These pets can be domestic dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, etc.
No snub nose dogs like American terriers, mastiffs, Doberman, pitbull, bull type of breeds are not allowed.

The pet must be at least 8 weeks old and fully medicated and should be carried in a pet carrier.
The pet carrier shall be such that it can adjust the pet who can stand, make movements, and breath.
Each passenger is allowed to take a maximum of 1 pet and shall not be exceeding the weight of 9kg.
Alaska Airlines charges a pet fee of $100 and passengers need to inform the airport officials at least 1 day before their scheduled travel.
If a passenger's pet exceeds the weight of 9 Kg then he will be asked to take the pet as checked baggage. The checked baggage portion will be such that they can breathe and make movements.
The dimensions of the pet carrier shall be such that it can either fit under the seat or in the overhead bin. This means that the hard side shall be 7.5 x 11 x 17 while the soft side should be 9.5 x 11 x 17 inches.
All the pets must be well vaccinated and fit to travel and shall have done the full medical checkup before they travel and passengers shall produce appropriate documents for the same.
