American Veterans Magazine regularly features stories of resilience, leadership, and success from veterans across the country.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - TelAve -- SCOTTSDALE -- KTAR radio host Mike Broomhead has joined the board of American Veterans Magazine, a nonprofit publication dedicated to sharing success stories of veterans.

Broomhead, a longtime supporter of veterans, said he is eager to contribute to the organization's mission.

"I'm just looking forward to telling the stories of veteran-owned businesses and telling some of the great stories of what veterans are accomplishing once they get to the civilian side of the world," he said.

The Arizona-based broadcaster has been widely recognized for his service to the veteran and first-responder community. His honors include:
  • Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Society 2025 Copper Sword Award
  • Arizona Department of Public Safety Awards (including recognition for Southern Arizona service)
  • Salt River Police Department Awards Banquet Recognition
  • MPRA Grand Canyon Chapter Award
  • Veterans Medical Leadership Council (VMLC) Champion for Our Veterans, 2015
  • Sanderson Crown Award
  • Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Society Award
