DANIA BEACH, Fla. - TelAve -- Legal Aid Service of Broward County will host its A Night for Justice Gala on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at the Design Center of the Americas (DCOTA) in Dania Beach, uniting community members, legal professionals and civic leaders in support of free civil legal services for thousands of Broward County residents in need each year.

This year's theme, Lanterns of Light, will transport guests to an immersive enchanted forest experience featuring live music, gourmet dining, a silent auction and heartfelt recognition of community leaders whose work advances access to justice.

The evening will recognize five distinguished honorees for their exceptional contributions to the community. This year's awards include Attorney of the Year, Law Firm of the Year, the Legal Aid Vanguard Award, the Tony Karrat Excellence in Community Service Award and the Spirit of Justice Award.

"A Night for Justice is our opportunity to say thank you," said Executive Director Debra Koprowski of Legal Aid Service of Broward County. "The attorneys who volunteer their time, the law firms and businesses that stand behind our mission, the judges and elected officials we work alongside, the community partners who open doors for our clients — these are the people who make our work possible. This evening is a chance to honor them, to welcome new friends into the fold and to celebrate a shared commitment to ensuring that every Broward County resident, regardless of income, has access to justice."

Last year's gala drew nearly 300 guests and raised more than $121,000 in support of Legal Aid's mission. Proceeds from A Night for Justice provide critical, unrestricted support for Legal Aid's wide-ranging programs, which deliver legal representation and education to residents facing challenges related to housing, family law, children in need, veterans' affairs, domestic violence and more.
