LOUISVILLE, Ky. - TelAve -- In Middletown, KY, on the outskirts of Louisville, is Brother Raven's Tattoo & Art Emporium: a business built on the motto "Do Better".  Eight years of providing excellent customer service and even better tattoos has finally paid off for them, in the form of two different awards!  In June, Guide to Kentucky's readers voted them as 2026's Best Regional Tattoo Shop and, only two weeks later, they were recognized by BusinessRate as the Best Tattoo Shop in Middletown for 2026!

Guide to Kentucky's Best of Kentucky awards are voted on for months by readers from all over the state, but to find your business on the list you had to first be nominated by someone that saw your efforts and thought enough of them to be a mouthpiece.  The nomination itself is a clear statement on the business, but to win the popularity contest on top of that is huge.  Nominations for the event are accepted year-round with voting ending in mid-May.  There are three winning tiers: "Best of Kentucky", "Regional Winner", and "Honorable Mention".

The BusinessRate awards are based on real–time data from online rankings - namely Google Maps and Google Business Profile, as Google represents the largest and most influential review platform for local businesses.  It not only looks at star ratings calculated on reviews, but how the business stacks up against its direct competition!  With buzz words like "friendly", "clean", and "professional" coming from nearly every review, as well as mentions of "great atmosphere", "talented artists", and "exceeded expectations", it's not hard to see why Brother Raven's is deserving of the award.

Owner Erick Kleinhelter and his wife, Rikki, have worked hard to make their tattoo studio somewhere clients can trust both the artists and the environment.  Every step is taken to avoid cross-contamination and keep a sterile workspace during the tattoo process. Every client is informed on not just how to care for their new art but why the steps are important.  These are considerations above great tattoo work that the client should be aware of and Brother Raven's provides the entire package. A visit to their studio at 11509 Shelbyville Rd, Ste. F will confirm exactly what these awards convey!
