Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach's popular Davies Boat Launch Ramp will be temporarily closing for major renovations, the City of Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine (PRM) announced today. The closure is part of the Davies Boat Launch Facilities Improvements Project and will begin on Monday, April 27, 2026.
Located at 6204 E. Marina Dr., the Davies Boat Launch Ramp is a key waterfront recreational facility that has been in operation since 1965. In 2025 alone, it was utilized by nearly 28,000 boaters. However, in order to provide necessary infrastructure upgrades and enhance the visitor experience, the facility will be closed to the public until early 2027.
During this time, the boat launch ramp, restroom and parking lot will not be accessible. Boaters are advised to make alternative arrangements and utilize other launch ramp locations in Long Beach.
