MAPONY/NJ Announces 2026 International Maritime Hall of Fame Honorees

NEW YORK - TelAve -- MAPONY/NJ will host the 32nd International Maritime Hall of Fame (IMHOF) dinner on May 20th at Chelsea Piers, NYC. Executive Director Stephen Lyman announced this year's inductees, honored for their leadership and dedication to the global maritime sector.

2026 IMHOF Inductees:
  • Robert P. Burke (CEO, Ridgebury Tankers): A USMMA graduate and former tanker officer, Burke has led major maritime investments, including roles at Chembulk Tankers and GE Capital.
  • James A. McNamara (Chief of Staff, ILA): With 44 years at the ILA, McNamara is a key spokesperson and charity leader who has raised over $10 million for the ILA Children's Fund.
  • Captain John W. Murray (CEO, Canaveral Port Authority): A veteran of Hapag-Lloyd and CP Ships, Murray has overseen $1 billion in improvements at Port Canaveral, tripling its revenue.
  • Ted Tregurtha (President & CEO, Moran Towing): A former AWO Chairman, Tregurtha leads Moran's environmental and maritime services and helps drive the industry's transition to net-zero emissions.

"These leaders have tirelessly championed progress, elevating the standards of our entire community," said Lyman.
