CHICAGO ~ Chicago City Council Passes Ordinance to Acquire Intercity Bus Terminal, Ensuring Equitable Transportation Options for Residents

In a major win for equitable and accessible transportation in Chicago, the City Council has passed an ordinance authorizing the acquisition of the intercity bus terminal at 630 W. Harrison Street. Introduced by Mayor Brandon Johnson, this ordinance secures the long-term future of a critical transportation hub that serves over 460,000 passengers annually.

Mayor Johnson emphasized the importance of transportation as a pathway to opportunity for all Chicagoans.
