~ Mesa, Arizona - Arizona Athletic Grounds, in partnership with Visit Mesa and the City of Mesa, has been chosen as the official Team Base Camp training site for the Turkiye Men's National Team during the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup 2026™. This selection solidifies the facility's reputation as a top sports destination and marks a significant milestone for the city.

As Turkiye's "home away from home" during the world's largest sporting event, Arizona Athletic Grounds will host closed training sessions throughout the group stage and beyond. The facility will work closely with local and regional partners to ensure security and operations are in accordance with FIFA protocols.

Turkiye secured their spot at the FIFA World Cup 2026™ through the European playoffs, defeating Romania in the semi-finals before narrowly defeating Kosovo 1-0 in the final. This will be their third appearance at the tournament, with their last appearance being in 2002 where they achieved their best-ever finish of third place. They will compete in Group D alongside powerhouse teams such as the U.S. Men's National Team, Paraguay, and Australia. Their first match will be against Australia on June 13 at BC Place Vancouver in Vancouver, Canada.
