The Writer in Residence program includes various events, such as the Writer in Residence Consultation Hours. These consultations will take place from May through July at the Main Library on 64 E. First St. Writers can book a 30-minute session with Mancinas to receive feedback, guidance, and support on their work. Appointments are required and can be scheduled through the library's event calendar.

In addition to consultations, Mancinas will also be hosting a Blackout/Collage Poetry Workshop on Thursday, May 28 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Main Library. This workshop will explore how existing texts can be transformed into new works of poetry and prose using blackout and collage techniques. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in guided exercises and rethink the words and stories they encounter every day.
