TelAve News/10899044
~ Mesa, Arizona - The City of Mesa has been recognized as one of the top 10 best run cities in the United States, according to a recent study by WalletHub. This ranking places Mesa as the highest-ranked city in Arizona, surpassing other major cities such as Phoenix and Tucson.
WalletHub evaluated 148 of the nation's largest cities by comparing the quality of services they provide to residents with the amount they spend. The study measured six key areas: financial stability, education, health, safety, economy and infrastructure. Mesa's strong performance in these areas earned it a spot in the top 10.
According to WalletHub Analyst Chip Lupo, "Mesa earned its spot as the 10th best-run city in America by making the most of its resources and delivering good value to its taxpayers." Lupo also noted that Mesa's strong credit rating and relatively low long-term debt contribute to its financial stability and allow for efficient service delivery without excessive spending.
The report highlights Mesa's thriving business growth, increasing household incomes and low poverty rate as indicators of a healthy local economy. Additionally, Mesa scored well in public safety with one of the lowest property crime rates in the nation.

Mesa ranked ahead of other Arizona cities included in the study, with Phoenix placing number 40 and Tucson number 61. He stated that "this ranking reflects the work our employees do every day to deliver those services efficiently and responsibly."
The top three best-run cities in the U.S. were Provo, Utah, Nampa, Idaho and Manchester, New Hampshire. The complete report is available on WalletHub's website.
