Mālama Labs Calls for Verified Climate Action as COP30 Puts Forests and Finance in Focus
TelAve News/10880753
As world leaders convene for COP30, Hawai'i-based Mālama Labs urges a move from climate pledges to measurable results, introducing real-time digital MRV tools that turn nature-based impact into verifiable, investable carbon solutions.
HAIKU, Hawaii - TelAve -- Introduction
As global leaders meet in Belém for COP30, Mālama Labs Inc. is urging a move from climate pledges to verifiable progress. The Hawai'i-based climate technology company develops systems that turn nature-based impact into measurable, investable carbon solutions. The call comes as researchers and registries admit that carbon markets must evolve to regain trust and transparency.
Details
Founder Tyler Malin said the time for symbolic commitments has passed. "Recent reporting by scientists and journalists shows how global politics still outpaces planetary limits," Malin explained. "Mālama's mission is to rebuild trust through verifiable data—turning promises into measurable outcomes that markets and communities can believe in."

Mālama Labs operates Hawai'i's first regional carbon market and a digital MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification) platform that tracks carbon removal in real time. By combining IoT sensors, satellite data, and blockchain provenance, the system ensures every tonne of carbon and every hectare of forest can be independently verified.
Co-founder Jeffrey Wise added, "Transparent, real-time data lets the market decide which projects deserve investment. Capital naturally flows toward what genuinely works." CTO Dominick Garey noted, "We see value in both forestry and durable carbon removal—our role is to measure each with precision and transparency."
Mālama Labs supports the evolution of REDD forest methodologies but pushes further with open, decentralized verification. As COP30 discussions highlight forest finance, Mālama emphasizes that funding alone is not enough—trust requires proof. Digital MRV guarantees that climate finance delivers measurable impact for ecosystems and communities alike.
Mālama Labs is headquartered in Hawai'i and works globally to advance transparent, verifiable carbon markets.
