BROOKLYN, N.Y. - TelAve -- We're excited to announce that MonaLesa Diamond Brackett, the reigning Miss Kings County USA, was named second runner-up at the Miss New York USA 2025 pageant. The final competition, hosted by Andreia Gibau, took place at the Hilton Albany on Sunday, August 17th.

The show opened with a vibrant dance number where MonaLesa was front and center. During the swimwear portion, MonaLesa made a powerful statement in an all-black burkini with hints of gold. For the evening wear competition, she graced the stage in a breathtaking, floor-length gown featuring bedazzled, golden detailing and dramatic white, voluminous sleeves and cape. Judges for the event included Constantine James, Cynthia Campbell Hunt, Mariela Pepin, Kristen White, Zachary Helsel, Caleigh Shade, and Carol Ann.

In a statement following the pageant, MonaLesa said, "Although I didn't take home the crown, I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and for the outpouring of support I've received from my community and everyone who has followed my journey."
