~ New Rochelle to Host First Flag Day Ceremony at City Hall

In honor of Flag Day and the values of freedom, unity, and patriotism, the City of New Rochelle will hold its inaugural Flag Day ceremony at City Hall on Friday, June 14. The event will kick off at 10AM with a Flag ceremony featuring color guards from the Police and Fire departments. Mayor Ramos Herbert, Acting City Manager Wilfredo Melendez, Buildings Commissioner Paul Vacca, Fire Chief Andrew Sandor, and representatives from the veteran's community will also be in attendance to give remarks. The ceremony will also include patriotic music to further celebrate this important day.

Following the ceremony, a Resource Fair dedicated to supporting New Rochelle's veterans will take place. This fair will feature various organizations from the city, county, and local levels. Attendees can expect to learn about resources available to them through these organizations. Additionally, representatives from City Departments will be present to provide information on veteran's credits for entrance and promotional exams. The Assessor's Office will also be on hand to offer information on veteran's tax credits.
