BLOOMFIELD TWP, Mich. - TelAve -- O'Brien Construction Company, a Michigan-based multifamily general contractor with more than 60 years of building experience, today announced the appointment of Mike Ekis as Executive Vice President of Construction. In this role, Ekis will be based in O'Brien's North Canton, Ohio office where he will oversee the construction for senior living and build-to-rent, while helping expand the company's footprint across multiple states.

Ekis brings 25 years of construction leadership experience to O'Brien, with a strong track record in multifamily and senior housing. He joins the company from Wallick Construction in New Albany, Ohio, where he served as Senior Vice President and led project management, field, and administrative teams on new construction and preservation projects across six states. Over the course of his career, he has contributed to the delivery of more than 1.5 million square feet of single-family and multifamily housing, making him a strong addition to O'Brien's growing leadership team.
