Ocala Pet Palooza Returns for Its 3rd Annual Celebration of Pets and Families
TelAve News/10875048
OCALA, Fla. - TelAve -- The 3rd Annual Ocala Pet Palooza returns to the World Equestrian Center on Saturday and Sunday, October 11–12, 2025, offering two full days of activities, education, shopping, and adoption opportunities for animal lovers of all ages. This family-friendly festival welcomes well-behaved, leashed pets who are up to date on vaccinations and invites the community to celebrate the special bond between people and their pets.
New this year, Pet Palooza introduces competitive dock diving, presented by Ocala Dog Ranch. Spectators can cheer on canine athletes as they make a splash in thrilling distance jumps and high-flying leaps. Dogs who are not competing will also have the chance to try dock diving by signing up poolside for introductory "try-it" sessions throughout the weekend, allowing first-timers to safely experience the sport under expert guidance.
Each afternoon at 2:30 p.m., attendees are invited to gather for a Pet Blessing ceremony led by Pastor Chuck Erzkus of Ascension Lutheran Church of Ocala, a heartfelt moment to honor the animals who share our homes and hearts. Also debuting this year is the Breed Paw-ty, a series of casual meetups where specific breeds and their humans can mingle, swap tips, and enjoy some tail-wagging camaraderie.

Education takes center stage with informative sessions designed to help families be the best possible pet guardians, including a timely talk, "Cancer in Pets: What Every Owner Should Know." Throughout the venue, guests will find hands-on experiences such as a petting farm, reptile encounters, a free mobile dog run, obedience education, and complimentary nail trims. Free microchipping for dogs and cats will be offered on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. More than 100 pet vendors will showcase unique products, treats, services, and resources for animals and their people.
In partnership with local rescues and shelters, seven agencies will be on site with adoptable dogs and cats, giving attendees the opportunity to meet their new best friend and make a life-changing match. Lively crowd favorites return as well, including the Best Trick Contest, Costume Contest, and Doggie Races, ensuring fun from the first wag to the last.
