Oklahoma Clean Up Launches Spring Community Cleanup at Will Rogers Park on April 4
TelAve News/10886823
Family-friendly volunteer event in Oklahoma City invites residents, businesses, and media to help keep local parks clean and safe.
OKLAHOMA CITY - TelAve -- Oklahoma Clean Up will host its first Spring Community Cleanup at Will Rogers Park on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. CDT. This family-friendly volunteer event invites residents, businesses, and community groups to help reduce litter and support a cleaner, safer public space for everyone who uses the park.
The cleanup will take place at Will Rogers Gardens, 3400 Northwest 36th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73112. Participation is free and open to all ages, with individuals under 18 required to attend with a parent or guardian. Volunteers will check in shortly before 8:00 a.m., receive a brief safety orientation, and join small teams assigned to different areas of the park.
Oklahoma Clean Up will provide the core supplies needed so volunteers can focus on gathering trash and debris. A local roll-off dumpster provider is contributing a large container at no cost, allowing all collected bags and bulky items to be removed from the park the same day. Gloves will be available so participants can handle litter safely, and organizers will supply sturdy trash bags and coordinate collection points to keep full bags from piling up along paths and common areas.

Evolve Agency is supporting the cleanup by providing trash bags and helping promote the event to residents and local businesses, ensuring each volunteer team has enough supplies to cover its assigned section of the park. Their involvement highlights the role small businesses can play in neighborhood improvement and environmental stewardship. "I'm excited to give back to the community that has helped my family-owned business grow," said sponsor Juan Pina, owner of Ready to Roll Off, reflecting the spirit of collaboration Oklahoma Clean Up hopes to build between volunteers and local partners.
This event is the first in a series of roughly quarterly cleanups that Oklahoma Clean Up plans to organize across Oklahoma, with an emphasis on the Oklahoma City area. By creating recurring, easy-to-join volunteer opportunities, the organization aims to foster civic pride, encourage ongoing involvement, and show how a few hours of coordinated effort can make a visible difference in shared public spaces. Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and bring a reusable water bottle.
