Optii to Exhibit for the First Time at CANSEC 2026
TelAve News/10896966
Optii will exhibit at Booth 108 in Ottawa, showcasing live demonstrations of its passive photonic RF sensing technology and a new light-to-RF capability.
OTTAWA, Ontario - TelAve -- OTTAWA, Ontario — Optii Corporation will attend and exhibit for the first time at CANSEC 2026, taking place May 27-28, 2026 at the Cohere Centre, formerly the EY Centre, in Ottawa. Optii will be exhibiting at Booth #108 and will showcase live demonstrations of its passive photonic sensing technology for defence, security, aerospace, and critical infrastructure applications.
The Optii Corp. team attending CANSEC 2026 will include CEO Dr. Daisy Williams, ITB & Business Development Lead Audra McCreesh, Researcher Kim Breton, and Partnerships Lead Daniyal Zafar.
At CANSEC, Optii Corp. will demonstrate its photonics-based RF sensing platform, including its latest innovation: the ability to convert light back into RF. This advancement allows the Optii system to interface more naturally with existing RF workflows and partner platforms, supporting a clearer path toward testing in operational environments.

Optii Corp's technology is designed to add a passive sensing layer in environments where conventional electronic systems may face challenges from interference, jamming, spoofing, harsh conditions, or contested signal environments. By using fibre-optic sensing principles and passive components at the sensing end, Optii Corp. is developing a system that can enhance situational awareness while reducing vulnerabilities associated with traditional electronic sensing architectures.
"CANSEC is an important opportunity for Optii Corp. to demonstrate how passive photonic sensing can support the next generation of defence and security systems," said Dr. Daisy Williams, CEO of Optii Corporation. "We are looking forward to meeting with defence industry peers, government stakeholders, research partners, and potential integration partners who are exploring new ways to improve RF awareness and system resilience."
CANSEC is Canada's leading defence, security, and emerging technology event, bringing together Canadian and international defence companies, government stakeholders, military representatives, and security organizations.
