It is important to note that these permits are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Waitlists are not available for any of the parking garages or lots.

Permit holders have the option to renew their permits as long as their invoices remain current. However, those seeking parking for an academic term should select either a monthly or three-month permit as school-year permits are not available.

All parking garage permits will be issued as RFID-enabled hang tags which allow holders to enter and exit individual garages. Once inside the garage, it is important to park in designated areas specifically marked for permit holders. It is advised not to park in spaces designated for hourly or reserved parking.

Permits can be purchased online through the City of Columbia's website. To check availability and purchase a permit, individuals can visit CoMo.gov/parking and follow the instructions under "Standard parking garage or lot permits."

When a permit is no longer needed, the RFID hang tag must be returned to City Hall at 701 E. Broadway. Failure to return the hang tag will result in a $25 fee.

For any questions or concerns regarding parking permits, individuals can contact the City of Columbia at 573.874.CITY (2489) or via email at create new email. Don't miss out on this opportunity to secure your downtown parking spot!
