NEW YORK - TelAve -- PoQrr, a new digital medium for preserving personal experience as history, has published its first internal-testing build of its Android application on Google Play.

The milestone moves PoQrr from development builds into Google's formal testing and distribution environment as work continues toward a broader release.

PoQrr provides Life Archiving as a Service (LaaS), building life archives around PoQs: digital objects composed of an Event and a person's Response to that Event. Rather than treating memories as posts in a feed or pieces of content competing for attention, PoQrr is being developed as a medium for preserving situated experiences and carrying them forward.

"We've always archived events, historic ones, important ones and institutional ones, but what about our own lives?" said Robin Zhou, founder of Being & Time LLC. "That's what PoQrr is for, using a new digital medium and AI technologies to build life archives for everyone."

The PoQrr mobile app brings PoQs and Booby, PoQrr's AI archivist, together on mobile. Users can create, receive and experience PoQs, while Booby helps them build and articulate their life archives.

The milestone follows the August publication of A History of One's Own: A Concept Paper for PoQrr, which sets out the conceptual foundation for PoQrr and its approach to life archiving. (Concept paper: https://poqrr.com/concepts/a-history-of-ones-own)

The Android app is currently available to invited testers only. PoQrr is inviting people interested in life archiving to join the internal test and help shape the app as it develops.
