PSH Environmental Celebrates 40 Years as an Industry Trailblazer in Sustainable Waste Management
TelAve News/10880777
NORWICH, U.K. - TelAve -- PSH Environmental Ltd., a pioneering force in sustainable waste management, proudly celebrates its 40th anniversary. The company has spent four decades setting industry benchmarks in landfill diversion, carbon-neutral operations, and energy innovation.
Founded in 1985, PSH now operates one of the UK's most environmentally advanced waste processing facilities and remains a certified Carbon Neutral Organisation for another year, continuing to support initiatives that aim to reduce emissions and aid in the preservation of the environment. With zero landfill since 2019, the company processes over 250,000 tonnes of waste annually and powers its entire site, including two UNTHA XR3000 electric shredders, with solar energy.
Director Daniel Parker said, "Being the first in the world to operate a UNTHA electric shredder entirely on solar energy isn't just a technological achievement, it's a blueprint for how the waste industry can reduce emissions at scale. This anniversary is about more than looking back, it's about where we lead the sector next."
PSH Environmental stands out in the waste management industry with several key differentiators. The company operates as carbon neutral, generating over 386,000kW of energy annually through 798 on-site solar panels, and is the first in the world to run an UNTHA electric shredder entirely on solar power. Impressively, PSH Environmental has maintained 100% diversion from landfill for six consecutive years, a testament to its sustainable practices. Its excellence has been recognised with accolades from MRW National Recycling Award for Recycling Facility of the Year.
