RemoteWorker.jobs suggests four ways for employees to not feel isolated when working remotely
TelAve News/10791132
If you're a remote worker who often gets lonely sitting alone at your desk all day, or only speaking to the family or roommates you live with, here's how RemoteWorker.jobs says you can address it.
AUSTIN, Texas - TelAve -- Despite its many benefits, remote work is not perfect. One of its challenges is that employees can sometimes feel lonely when working from home. Research shows that some remote workers can go days without even leaving the house, let alone speaking to anyone in-person. But RemoteWorker.jobs is providing four ways that team members who feel isolated can address the feeling.
Remote Worker is an online jobs board and resource website for remote workers, remote work jobseekers, and hiring managers, employers and HR personnel seeking to recruit and hire the top talent for remote positions.
Joseph Boll, Remote Worker CEO, said, "Remote work shouldn't feel like solitary confinement. Flexible ways of working like remote and hybrid are really all about making sure you can redefine what it means to work, and adjusting what's not working is part of that."

If you're a remote worker who often gets lonely sitting alone at your desk all day, or only speaking to the family or roommates you live with, here's what RemoteWorker.jobs recommends:
1. Join social or community groups or events
Even if you're nice and comfy at home, you can still get a social break by joining online meetups or events.
2. Stay connected with friends and family
Take a few minutes out of your day to call up a relative or friend you haven't spoken to in a while and see what's new.
3. Communicate, communicate, communicate
We're not saying to take the water cooler gossip session onto Slack, but even just simply giving regular updates can help you to feel more connected, and they'll likely do the same.
4. Switch up your routine
Remember, you're not confined to your home just because you work there. If you're allowed to, try working from a nearby coffee shop or library for a few hours every now and then.
These are just a few small ways you can fight loneliness, improve your mental health and curate the remote work experience that's best for you.
