SAK Enterprises Expands Efforts Ahead of Hurricane Season to Support Flood Mitigation
TelAve News/10894192
PALMETTO, Fla. - TelAve -- Palmetto, FL - As communities across Florida and the East Coast prepare for the upcoming hurricane season, SAK Enterprises, Inc., a flood mitigation systems manufacturer, is increasing production of flood protection solutions designed to protect businesses, municipalities, and critical facilities from flood-related damage.
Operating from its manufacturing facility in Manatee County, SAK Enterprises designs, fabricates, and tests a range of flood mitigation solutions, including flood gates, flood barriers, flood-tight doors, hatches, and more, used to safeguard buildings and essential services during severe weather events.
"Many people start thinking about flood protection once storms are already forming," said Brian Winchell, VP of Operations, at SAK Enterprises. "But effective mitigation requires engineering, manufacturing, and installation time. Preparing ahead of hurricane season makes sure facilities have the protection they need."
Over the last 15 years, SAK Enterprises has manufactured flood mitigation systems for a wide range of facilities, including, but not limited to, hospitals, retail locations, municipal buildings, power plants, and other commercial properties nationwide. These systems are designed to protect critical building access points and infrastructure, such as utility rooms, service entrances, and water management systems, to name a few, which can be vulnerable during storm surge and heavy rainfall.

SAK Enterprises encourages property owners, facility managers, and municipal planners to assess potential flood vulnerabilities now, while there is still time before peak storm activity begins later in the season.
"Our goal is to help communities prepare before storms arrive," said Emma Starn, Project Manager. "When the next hurricane approaches, the best protection is already in place."
