SAKAI 21 released: Innovative new tools make Sakai the best LMS for student learning

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - TelAve -- Sakai's newest release, SAKAI 21, includes new features for faculty and students that enhance learning outcomes and feature improved teaching support, enhanced student collaboration, and contemporary design.
SAKAI 21 includes a suite of entirely new learning management features and improvements to existing tools. At the center of Sakai 21 is a focus on student performance and collaboration that is far more robust than competitor offerings. These collaboration tools include a new dashboard that help students learn more effectively. It provides students with task lists and calendars that cross courses, as well as quick access to assignments, discussions, and other actionable items in each of their courses.

Scoring highest in satisfaction with the learning management feature with 91% (14% higher than the average), software users were happy with their experiences working with Sakai's virtual classroom management, MIS and reporting, instructor workflow and online tests.
Sakai21 builds on Sakai's strengths and continues the LMS's program of ongoing and continuous improvement, strong innovation, and learning/teaching centered design. It's roadmap of the three years to come shows its plan for continued improvement.
