Sanbi.ai Introduces Share of Agentic Selection Metric for Meta Muse Era of AI Shopping

TelAve News/10907498
Sanbi.ai has published new research on Meta's Muse shopping agent and proposes share of agentic selection, a four-stage metric that tracks whether an AI agent can find, recommend, correctly describe and actually buy a brand's products.

DALLAS - TelAve -- DALLAS, Texas — Sanbi.ai, an independent AI-visibility platform, has published research on Meta's Muse personal AI agent and introduced "share of agentic selection," a metric for whether AI agents can find, recommend, accurately describe and actually purchase a company's products.

Muse launched in the United States on September 8, 2026 and reached an estimated 560,000 daily users within 11 days. Within three weeks it could complete checkout across the entire Shopify catalog and retailers including Walmart, Best Buy, Sephora and Wayfair. Amazon blocked the agent on September 20.

Sanbi.ai argues this changes the unit of competition in ecommerce. An agent that already knows a shopper's size, budget and delivery deadline returns a shortlist of one or three products rather than a page of results. A product that misses the shortlist is never reconsidered.

Existing AI-visibility tools count mentions. Share of agentic selection instead scores each product against four sequential tests: retrieved into the shortlist, recommended, described with correct price, variant and stock, and purchasable through a checkout the agent can complete.

"Brand mentions are not product selection, and product selection is not a completed purchase," said Akshat, founder of Sanbi.ai. "An agent can recommend a product, quote last month's price, pick the wrong size and fail at checkout. A dashboard that only counts mentions will report that as a win."

The report states plainly that Muse cannot be tracked at scale today, and that Sanbi.ai does not track it: Muse runs logged in inside a private virtual machine, leaving no neutral answer to sample. The recommended alternative is to track the evidence layer — product pages, reviews and roundups — across engines that can be sampled, then run scripted purchase tests inside Muse.
