Sex, Smoke, and Survival: Let Me Get My Underwear on First by C.J. Striker Lands with Brutal Honesty
TelAve News/10896379
DALLAS - TelAve -- C.J. Striker releases a new novel, Let Me Get My Underwear on First, which is a fast-moving story about flying high, burning out, and starting over
Let Me Get My Underwear on First follows a pilot and nightclub owner as he tries to keep control of a life built on speed, money, and half-truths. The book moves between runways and back rooms, from a smoke-filled cockpit to a club floor at closing time. It is sharp and unsentimental. It shows what happens when you live loud, and what it costs to walk away.
Told in a straight, conversational voice and framed by songs that mark each chapter, the story tracks a marriage in trouble, an arson that levels a flagship club, and a run-in with the kind of quiet pressure that never blinks. There's a near-disaster in the air, legal and money fights on the ground, and a hard look at the gap between fantasy and real life.
At its core, this is a book about consequence and choice. It faces the fallout from risk, the weight of fatherhood, and the pull of a woman who feels like home when the noise dies down. The title says the rest: when the last moment comes, the narrator wants one small mercy: dignity.

About the Author
C.J. Striker was a pilot, businessman, and storyteller whose life was marked by risk, reinvention, and relentless honesty. Flying was his discipline and passion, but writing became his way of struggling with memory, consequence, and redemption. He passed away before completing Let Me Get My Underwear on First, leaving behind an unfiltered voice that continues to resonate through this novel.
