June 17, 2026 ~ On June 18, 2026, the Ireland Road Pavement Project will continue with milling and paving operations on Ireland Road between Fellows Street and the western city limits. This project, which aims to pave a 2.8-mile stretch of Ireland Road from the western city limits to Ironwood Drive, has been ongoing since Thursday.

Despite the ongoing construction, Ireland Road will remain open to traffic. However, motorists should anticipate significant delays and are advised to use an alternate route if possible. The crews will begin by milling the outside lanes between Fellows Street and the western city limits before moving on to pave those lanes. Once completed, traffic will be shifted to allow for milling and paving of the inside lanes.
