MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - TelAve -- Speech Specialists is excited to announce the return of its Social Skills Summer Camp, a specialized program designed to help children and youth develop essential communication and social interaction skills in a fun, supportive, and engaging environment.

The Social Skills Summer Camp is open to children and teens ages 8 to 15 and will take place at the Speech Specialists Mississauga clinic. The program combines social skills development with thematic learning activities, STEM-based projects, art activities, self-regulation strategies, and multi-sensory experiences to encourage learning through play and collaboration.

The camp focuses on helping participants strengthen key life skills, including:

* Peer interactions and friendship building
* Self-advocacy and confidence development
* Problem-solving skills

Led by experienced professionals, the program provides opportunities for children to practice real-world social interactions while participating in enjoyable group activities. The goal is to help participants improve communication, develop meaningful relationships, and build confidence in social settings.

"Strong social communication skills are essential for success at school, at home, and within the community," said a representative from Speech Specialists. "Our Social Skills Summer Camp provides children with a supportive environment where they can learn, grow, and connect with peers while having fun throughout the summer."

The camp will run during two separate sessions:

* July 6 – July 17, 2026
* August 10 – August 21, 2026

Sessions will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Families may register for either the July or August session.

The program is available for $450 per week and may be covered through the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) for eligible families.
