~ Spokane, WA - On the evening of September 20th, 2026, a tragic motorcycle accident occurred at the intersection of N. Ash St and W. Courtland Ave. According to multiple 911 callers, the accident was reported around 8:40 P.M. and CPR was being performed on the victim.

Upon arrival at the scene, Spokane police officers found that the Spokane Fire Department (SFD) was already on site providing life-saving measures. Despite their efforts, the young man involved in the collision unfortunately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver of the motorcycle, an 18-year-old male, was traveling at a high rate of speed before colliding with a light pole. A witness informed officers that not only was the motorcycle driver driving recklessly, but other vehicles at the scene appeared to be racing as well.

The Major Crimes Unit was notified and responded to conduct further investigations. As a result, roads in the area were closed for several hours.

The Medical Examiner's Office has released information regarding the identity and cause of death of the deceased individual.
