Spokane Police Department Continues To Bolster The Neighborhood Resource Officer Program
TelAve News/10887035
~ In a recent development, the Neighborhood Resource Officer (NRO) program has been revived in Spokane thanks to the Community Safety Sales Tax initiative. This program, which aims to improve the quality of life in local neighborhoods, was brought back to life with the help of three officers who were assigned to the NRO Unit in March. The plan is to add more officers to the unit in the future.
The latest addition to the NRO Unit is Officer Dylan Pavlischak, who was assigned to the Downtown area in January of this year. He will be based at the SPD Precinct facility located at 111 N Wall. As an NRO, Officer Pavlischak will work closely with community members and various government agencies and businesses to bring about positive changes in his assigned area.

The role of an NRO is crucial in fostering a sense of safety and security within neighborhoods. These officers act as liaisons between their assigned areas and law enforcement, helping with recruitment and community outreach efforts. They are also based out of SPD Precinct facilities.
Officer Pavlischak's assignment as an NRO for Downtown Spokane is expected to have a significant impact on improving the overall well-being of the community. With this new addition, residents can look forward to a safer and more connected neighborhood.
