5K race raises funds for critical breast care across Southwest Florida
FORT MYERS, Fla. - TelAve -- Registration is still open for the Partners Pink Run on Saturday, Oct. 10, benefiting Partners for Breast Cancer Care.
Hosted at Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers, the annual 5K raises funds to help Partners for Breast Cancer Care provide no-cost breast care to uninsured and limited-income women and men in Collier, Lee, Hendry, Glades and Charlotte counties. The only nonprofit in Southwest Florida of its kind and anchored by its "Early Detection Saves Lives" motto, the organization funds breast screening, diagnostic testing, treatment, surgery and care navigation for qualifying clients, with a mission to rule out or diagnose breast cancer as early as possible.
Participants can choose between a 5K run and a one-mile walk, both winding through Bell Tower Shops. The 5K begins at 8 a.m., followed by the one-mile walk at 8:10 a.m. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three male and female racers and the top three male and female racers in each age group.

After the race, participants are invited to enjoy music and entertainment, refreshments and activities for all ages, including cornhole and Bra Pong. Partners for Breast Cancer Care merchandise will also be available. Participants are encouraged to wear pink in honor of the fight against breast cancer.

Packet pickup and late registration will be available from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, at Fleet Feet Bell Tower, 13499 S. Cleveland Ave., Suite 209, in Fort Myers. Race-day registration will be available from 7 to 7:45 a.m. on Oct. 10 at the same location.
The Partners Pink Run launched in 2024 with 175 participants as a celebration of hope, strength and unity in the fight against breast cancer. Last year's record-breaking event united 378 participants and raised nearly $10,000 for the organization's life-saving services.

Partners for Breast Cancer Care receives no federal, state, county or city funding and relies on donations, volunteers and more than 100 healthcare professionals who donate or discount their services to help clients access critical breast care.
