Springfield, Mo. ~ On August 24, 2025, at approximately 1:37 p.m., the Springfield Fire Department received a call about a structure fire at 3307 W. Lombard. Upon arrival, they discovered two adults and one juvenile inside the residence with gunshot wounds. The Springfield Police Department was immediately called to the scene and took over the investigation.

After thorough investigation by the Springfield Police Department Homicide Unit, it was determined that Ryan Parnell, 40, was responsible for the deaths of Jessica Parnell, 35, and Aaliyah Perkins, 13. The suspect had shot and killed both victims before setting fire to the residence. He then died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. All three individuals were residents of Springfield and their family has been notified.
