Star Light, Star Bright Returns to Bring Holiday Hope to Ocean County Families
TelAve News/10885344
The HOPE Center's annual donation drive gifted toys and essentials to families in need this holiday season.
TOMS RIVER, N.J. - TelAve -- The holiday season is meant to be a time of joy, but for many families facing hardship, it can also bring added uncertainty. Every year, The HOPE Center works to ease this stress through the Star Light, Star Bright event. This year's event, held on December 11th, supported local families and their children with over 3,000 gifts, essentials, and moments of holiday joy.
Star Light, Star Bright turned weeks of community generosity into a festive day of connection and care. Families were invited into a welcoming, decorated space to select gifts for their children. Serving clients with dignity and compassion is central to The HOPE Center's mission, and giving parents the opportunity to provide for their families during the holidays helped ease what can be a difficult time of year.
"During the holidays, financial stress can feel especially heavy for the families we serve," said Amy VanBezooijen, Executive Director of The HOPE Center. "Star Light, Star Bright allows children to experience the joy of the season who otherwise might not."
