LABELLE, Fla. - TelAve -- Stevens Construction has completed construction of Family Health Centers of Southwest Florida's newest location, located at 169 W Hickpochee Ave. in LaBelle, announced Daniel Adams, Stevens Construction executive vice president and partner.

Designed in an L-shaped layout, the new 20,785-square-foot facility houses pediatrics, dental and social services under one roof. One side of the building is dedicated to family dental care including 16 dental operatories, two X-ray rooms, a sterilization area and a laboratory.

The other side of Family Health Centers houses their First Choice Kid Care Pediatrics Department and their Social Services offices. With an expansive lobby, the Pediatrics office has separate sick and well patient waiting areas, 12 exam rooms and comprehensive lab services.  Additional support services, such as offices, storage and break rooms, are situated on both sides of the building.

Stevens Construction provided nine months of preconstruction planning prior to the construction starting, helping to guide Family Health Center through the architectural and mechanical design process. During this phase, Stevens Construction provided $185,000 in cost-saving suggestions while providing budgets and schedules throughout the process.

The Stevens Construction team includes Senior Project Manager Mike Alisea, Superintendent Gary Tipton and Project Administrator Morgan Thie. Burt Hill/Pollock Krieg is the architect of record.
