Successful Activist Files Criminal Complaint Against Developer of ICE-Tracker App
TelAve News/10878399
Charged as Accessory Before-The-Fact For Alleged Violation of 18 U.S. Code § 111
WASHINGTON - TelAve -- A formal legal criminal complaint has been filed against the developer of the ICE-tracking app ICEBlock which has been blamed for triggering shootings which killed two persons, and for allegedly encouraging and facilitating dangerous physical assaults on federal immigration enforcement officers which have already have occurred, and are continuing to occur, in several major cities.
The complaint was filed by public interest law professor John Banzhaf, whose similar criminal complaint triggered a grand jury investigation and eventual felony indictment of Donald Trump in Georgia. His earlier legal complains helped lead to special prosecutors for Richard Nixon, a reprimand of Barney Frank by the U.S. House of Representatives, and a court order requiring Spiro Agnew to return the money he had accepted in bribes.

The developer is charged in the complaint with an alleged violation of 18 U.S. Code § 111 since he has refused to discontinue the operation of his app even as it apparently continues to be used to promote illegal violence which "impedes, intimidates, or interferes" with federal officials "while engaged in or on account of the performance of official duties" in violation of the language of this statute.
Although his creation has been branded as an "Assassination App" and "no different than giving a hitman the location of their intended target," he has defiantly said that "this administration tends to blow a bunch of hot air in front of the cameras, but then they don't follow up and do anything because they know they don't have a legal leg to stand on."
On the other hand, Attorney General Pam Bondi has said that "ICEBlock is designed to put ICE agents at risk just for doing their jobs, and violence against law enforcement is an intolerable red line that cannot be crossed. . . This Department of Justice will continue making every effort to protect our brave federal law enforcement officers, who risk their lives every day to keep Americans safe."

Although Apple has removed ICEBlock from its App Store, the app reportedly has already been downloaded and remains on more than one million cell phones where it can still be used by those opposed to federal immigration enforcement efforts.
