NEW YORK, May 28, 2025 ~ New York, NY - Sumsub, a global full-cycle verification platform, made a groundbreaking announcement at the Solana Accelerate event in New York. The company showcased its first public integration of Sumsub ID, a part of their Reusable Digital Identity product suite. This integration was made possible through the new Solana Attestation Service (SAS), a built-in protocol from Layer 1 blockchain Solana.

The demonstration highlighted how users can now issue on-chain credentials, such as attestations, using their Sumsub ID profile. This allows for a more secure and efficient way for individuals to store and reuse their pre-verified documents for multiple verifications across Sumsub client platforms.

Sumsub ID was launched in March 2025 and has since been simplifying compliance processes and improving user experience. With this new integration, users can now carry a publicly verifiable proof of identity verification tied to their self-hosted wallet on Solana. Sumsub serves as the trusted party performing the verification and issuing the credential.

During the live demo at Solana Accelerate, Sumsub showcased a simulated use case with Roam, an e-SIM provider. The user first completed pre-verification through Sumsub and created a Sumsub ID profile before connecting their Solana self-hosted wallet. Once verified, an attestation was issued and tied to their wallet. When the user applied for a new e-SIM from Roam, they were able to identify themselves using their Solana unhosted wallet and Roam could confirm their pre-verified status through the associated on-chain attestation.

This integration highlights the growing use case for reusable digital identity credentials in Web3 ecosystems. The underlying flow demonstrated in this demo can be applied to various scenarios beyond eSIM activation. With Sumsub ID, verified credentials can be reused across platforms and ecosystems, simplifying verification processes for both users and businesses.

Ilya Brovin, Chief Growth Officer at Sumsub, commented on the integration, stating that it marks a significant step in the evolution of their reusable digital identity offering. He emphasized that this integration not only simplifies identity verification and compliance processes but also provides a seamless experience for users while helping businesses scale securely in Web3 ecosystems.

Web3 users often face the challenge of repeatedly passing verification when using multiple financial and other on-chain services. With Sumsub ID, individuals can pre-verify once and reuse their identity data across multiple services. This can reduce onboarding time by up to 50% and increase conversion rates by 30%, making it a more efficient route to compliance for businesses while improving user experience.

To create a Sumsub ID profile and receive a Solana attestation, individuals can visit https://id.sumsub.com/solana. This integration marks an important milestone in the development of reusable digital identity credentials and showcases the potential for future formats like Zero-Knowledge (ZK) Proofs to be incorporated into this system.
