Providing safe housing, trauma-informed care, and life-changing support for survivors and families rebuilding after crisis.
DETROIT - TelAve -- D House of Angels, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence and families experiencing crisis, continues to expand its impact across Oakland and Wayne Counties through housing support, trauma-informed services, and community-based programming.
Founded by Executive Director Dalania Stevens, D House of Angels was created from lived experience and a deep commitment to helping individuals rebuild their lives after trauma. Since its inception, the organization has served hundreds of individuals and families by providing emergency housing assistance, basic necessities, transportation, case management, and healing-centered programming.
In 2024 alone, D House of Angels supported more than 500 individuals, providing temporary hotel placements for 75 families, along with food, clothing, hygiene supplies, and essential resources. The organization is currently expanding its impact through the development of a transitional housing program, which will offer safe, stable housing paired with wraparound services including:

In addition to housing initiatives, D House of Angels facilitates community programs such as Healing After Trauma, youth and family wellness workshops, domestic violence awareness events, and resource distribution initiatives. The organization works in collaboration with local partners, businesses, and community leaders to ensure survivors receive comprehensive, compassionate care.
D House of Angels is actively seeking community partners, donors, sponsors, and volunteers to support its growing programs, including its transitional housing initiative and upcoming community events.
