DALLAS - TelAve -- The clinking of silverware and low murmur of conversation filled the ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Dallas as more than a thousand attendees filtered into the DataSecAI Conference networking lunch. But for the first 250 guests, an unexpected highlight awaited just beyond the buffet line.

Chandra Donelson, author of the rapidly growing The Data Detective children's book series,  greeted attendees with a warm smile and a stack of books that dwindled almost as quickly as the line formed. Her surprise book signing instantly became one of the day's most talked-about moments.

The afternoon invited guests to enjoy a gourmet meal while connecting with peers and community partners. Yet Donelson's appearance quickly emerged as the centerpiece.
