NEW YORK - TelAve -- Suzy Chase, a podcast pioneer who created the mixtape podcast in 2005, is introducing a new way of thinking about GLP-1 medications-one that moves beyond weight loss and into what she calls precision maintenance.
After losing 50 pounds (194-144), Chase has shifted her focus to what comes next: maintaining her weight within a narrow range while building strength, improving cardiovascular fitness, and optimizing long-term health.

Her approach reflects a broader shift in how people are using GLP-1 medications like Zepbound. Rather than relying on a fixed weekly dosing schedule, Chase takes a more adaptive approach, spacing out doses and focusing on overall patterns in appetite, recovery, and performance.

Chase's philosophy centers on what she likes to call Training For 80, prioritizing strength, mobility, and independence later in life. While GLP-1 medications can support weight loss and reduce inflammation, she emphasizes that muscle, endurance, and long-term resilience must be built through consistent training and lifestyle habits.
"We're going to start seeing a shift. People won't just talk about how much weight they lost. They'll talk about how fit they got on GLP-1s."
To share her method, Chase has created a one-page framework outlining her daily system for decision-making, including prompts for analyzing weight fluctuations, evaluating training intensity, and separating emotional reactions from real data.
