Just after 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, officers were called to the area of the 800 block of Martin Luther King Jr Way for a possible shooting. Officers arrived and located an adult male with a gunshot wound. They began lifesaving measures until the Tacoma Fire Department arrived and pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
