~ The City of Tacoma, in partnership with the Washington APEX Accelerator, is offering a new workshop for small businesses called "Preparing the Bid." This interactive workshop, led by experienced instructors, will take place virtually on October 19, 2026 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn valuable skills such as how to read and understand solicitation documents, use take-home tools like a customizable pre-bid checklist, and apply a bid/no-bid decision matrix tailored to their business needs. They will also gain insights from government contracting advisors on key considerations and requirements for competitive and compliant bids.
