TelAve News/10869624
~ Fort Worth, TX- Governor Greg Abbott has announced that the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has approved his request for a disaster declaration for those affected by the Cooper Apartment Fire last month. This declaration will provide financial assistance to Texans who sustained damages to their property during the fire.

According to Governor Abbott, "Texans affected by the Cooper Apartment Fire are now eligible to receive financial assistance to repair damages sustained to their property during the fire." He also expressed his gratitude towards the Texas Division of Emergency Management for working with federal partners to ensure that Texans have the necessary resources to recover from this disaster. The governor encourages all those who have been impacted by the fire to apply for low-interest loans in order to continue their recovery process.

The SBA has granted access to its Home Disaster Loans, Business Physical Disaster Loans, and Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program. These loans will provide low-interest rates for qualifying individuals who have suffered damage during the fire. Interested applicants can apply online at sba.gov/disaster or call SBA's Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955 for more information on disaster assistance. For those with hearing impairments, they can dial 7-1-1 to access telecommunications relay services.
