Texas: Governor Abbott Appoints Stokes To Advisory Council On Emergency Medical Services

~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Trevor Stokes to the Advisory Council on Emergency Medical Services for the state of Texas. Stokes, a resident of Liberty Hill, will serve on the council until January 1, 2032.
The Advisory Council on Emergency Medical Services is responsible for providing recommendations to the Texas Department of State Health Services regarding rules and policies related to trauma facilities and registry monitoring. With his extensive experience in emergency services, Stokes is well-equipped to contribute valuable insights and expertise to the council.
Stokes currently serves as a captain for the Pflugerville Fire Department's Emergency Service District (ESD) #2. In addition to his role as a captain, he also holds positions as Public Information Officer and Community Engagement Officer. He is also the ESD coordinator for the Texas State Association of Fire Fighters and is a member of various organizations such as Airborne Public Safety Association, Safe Kids Austin, and Live Like Cati.

Furthermore, Stokes is a Helicopter Search and Rescue Technician for Texas A&M Task Force 1 – Urban Search and Rescue. He has also received advanced training in technical rescue, swiftwater rescue, incident command, and fire service management from national organizations.
Stokes holds an Advanced Firefighter Certificate from Austin Community College and has obtained several certificates from the Texas Commission on Fire Protection including Fire Officer IV, Instructor III, Incident Safety Officer, and Haz Mat Technician.
With his impressive background in emergency services and dedication to ongoing training and education, Trevor Stokes is sure to make valuable contributions to the Advisory Council on Emergency Medical Services during his term.
