These conditions have resulted in significant damage and danger to the residents of Angelina, Aransas, Atascosa, Austin, Bandera, Bastrop, Bee, Bell, Bexar, Blanco, Brazoria, Brazos, Brooks, Burleson and many more.

In accordance with Section 418.014 of the Texas Government Code, Governor Abbott has declared a state of disaster in these counties. This declaration gives him the authority to use all available resources of state government and political subdivisions to cope with the disaster.

The Governor's proclamation also states that copies will be filed with applicable authorities as required by law. It is signed by Governor Abbott and attested by Secretary of State Jane Nelson.
