It revealed that Texas had reached a new high of 14,403,500 total jobs after adding 46,800 nonfarm jobs in March alone. Additionally, over the past year, Texas has gained an impressive 117,200 jobs, surpassing the national annual job growth rate.

The number of employed Texans also saw a significant increase with a total of 15,236,600 people working in various industries including self-employment. The state's labor force also experienced growth with an addition of 82,200 individuals over the last 12 months bringing the total to 15,916,600.

Governor Abbott proudly announced that since taking office in January 2015, Texas has gained nearly 2.6 million jobs. This remarkable achievement was celebrated on Monday when Site Selection magazine awarded Texas with the prestigious Prosperity Cup for being the top-performing state for job-creating business investment in 2026.
