In addition to the overall job growth, Texans working (including self-employed individuals) totaled 15,236,600. The state's labor force also saw an increase of 82,200 people over the last 12-month period, bringing the total to 15,916,600.

Since taking office in January 2015, Governor Abbott has overseen a significant increase in job opportunities for Texans. The state has gained nearly 2.6 million jobs during his tenure.
