The Choice to Believe When You Cannot See

In a world filled with uncertainty, faith gives us the courage to trust God, hold on to hope, and believe that our story is not over.

PALMYRA, N.J. - TelAve -- Faith is more than simply believing in God when everything is going well; faith is trusting Him when life does not make sense. The Bible says in Romans 12:3 that God has given every person "the measure of faith." So why do we sometimes struggle to believe? Pain, disappointment, fear, unanswered prayers, and difficult circumstances can cause us to focus on what we see instead of what we believe. Yet 2 Corinthians 5:7 reminds us that "we walk by faith, not by sight." Faith allows us to look beyond today's circumstances and believe that tomorrow can be different. It gives us hope when hope seems impossible and strength when we feel weak. Romans 12:2 teaches us about being transformed by the renewing of our minds, and that transformation begins when we choose to trust God instead of allowing fear and negativity to control our thoughts. No matter what you are facing today, remember that your current situation is not the final chapter of your life. Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep hoping. Keep trusting God. The world may be uncertain, but God is still faithful. Your story is not over—and sometimes the greatest miracle begins when you simply make the choice to have faith.
